Strap: Frontline employees and organisers lauded for their critical work during the lockdown.
The cost of seeds may be a small component of the total cost of production. But using poor-quality seeds can nullify the best agronomic practices and crop inputs, no matter how lavishly it is applied. Sindhur Sen (1974) best summarises the importance of seed quality by saying, "'What is known as the seeds of hope may turn into seeds of frustration' if they are not of high quality."
It is, therefore, crucial to recognise the hard work and effort conducted on the ground to ensure the production and supply of high-quality seeds.
Acknowledging the dedication of the Devanahalli Production Team – Field Crops, a recognition program was organised. Their latest achievement included the recovery of crops lost to unseasonal rains through a contingency plan. Manjunath V., Lead (Supply Chain), took the opportunity to laud the team for their efforts and discuss production strategies like monitoring production and selection of farmers. He also shared the importance of collecting and updating data on the Production App. Muniswamy S., (Regional Production Manager) also encouraged the team, motivating them to tackle situations with positivity.
